COM2316 Beginning Digital Photography I
This first of a two-semester course offers a practical introduction to the process and workflow of digital photography, emphasizing the competence of a DSLR camera. Section I explores black-and-white photography, while section II explores color throughout multiple portfolios. Students in both sections continue to refine their skills while improving creativity in composition and developing personal viewpoints. Instruction covers manual technical skills, framing/composition, lighting, importing/organization, software editing, printing/presentation, white balance, color design, and color calibration. Bring your SLR digital camera to the first class meeting.
